Aoibheann Boyle

Hi, I'm Aoibheann :)

I love tourism and travel because it is a gateway to discovering and understanding new cultures, traditions, people and ways of life which then allows us to deepen our empathy and respect for others.

Since starting with The Tourism Space I have been learning every day about these areas through the projects we have been working on, it makes working all the more exciting! I love being outdoors, be it hiking up a mountain, swimming in the sea or cycling.

I lived in the Basque Country for several years where I fell in love with the mountains and then again on my return to my hometown in Wicklow. I have always felt a deep connection to the sea, in particular to the Atlantic, as that is where I first learned how to swim as a child.

I am delighted to have returned to the Clare shores where I truly feel at home! I am a fluent Spanish speaker, have a few words of Basque and I am currently learning Italian and improving my Gaeilge. I am a firm believer that the use of our native tongue, and that of others, allows us to learn more about a person.
