I walked away from urban life and the corporate world 12 years ago to live in a beautiful and perhaps remote part of the West of Ireland.  As soon as I moved, I knew I had found my place. I knew I wouldn’t move again and that I would make it work. In fact, I ruled out any other possibility.
It quickly became clear that entrepreneurship was the only route that would allow me live the life I wanted (and had dreamed of) in this place.
North Clare, home to the Burren & Cliffs of Moher, is very beautiful, with magnificent landscapes and coastlines, a very vibrant culture, and an intriguing history. It’s no surprise then that it’s also a very popular tourist destination and perhaps also inevitable that I ‘fell into’ tourism about a decade ago.  I have been enthralled by the industry every since.

I have invested in getting clear on a positive future for myself in the tourism space. I am driven to help others do the same.

By working with me one-to-one or through my group or online programs, my clients achieve results quicker and more effectively than trying to do it alone.

Between 2009 and 2016, I worked very intensively on-the-ground in tourism development. A number of projects which I led or collaborated on in the areas of tourism networking, food tourism and sustainable tourism came to be regarded as industry innovations at that time. Some even achieved Irish, European and global award recognition.
Since then, I have become an accomplished strategist and communicator in the tourism field, and am certified as a Professional Coach, Facilitator and Trainer.  I have been truly privileged to work closely with hundreds of tourism operators and a large number of tourism networks.  I am honoured that national tourism bodies, state agencies, and regional and local authorities retain me to work with their stakeholders and destinations.

I love learning.  I invest significantly in my own development through professional coaching, training, participation in conferences, reading and following social media.  I’m a member of a number of professional development associations and networks.  All of this helps me stay current and share the most up-to-date knowledge and industry insights with my clients.
I love words. I speak Irish, German and French, and am very happy to work in any of these languages.
I share my life with my husband, our three children and our dog.  Their hobbies are my hobbies! I enjoy being a traveller myself, and love trying out great food and wine.  I spent my very early years in California and return there often - my very best mentor lives there! Walking in the countryside or on the beach is my favourite way to unwind.  I enjoy watching all sports, especially hurling.

The tourism industry has a lot of ‘big picture’ challenges and opportunities.  I think a lot about how challenging it is for individual businesses to manage the complexity of balancing so many priorities at once: serving the visitor, delivering memorable experiences, respecting the local community, and protecting the natural assets - not to mention run a profitable business!
This struggle has often led me to ponder what 'High Performance' in tourism is really about.  For me, it’s a process that allows people to live in cared-for places, to practice tourism from the heart, to consistently delight visitors and to proudly build profitable businesses.

Build a business that lasts in the place that you love!
